Free offers
Not everything has to cost money – in Denmark, you will also find plenty of free experiences. We have gathered a number of suggestions that can be used as a starting point when you are planning your holiday.

Waterpark and amusement parks
Feriepartner also offers a number of houses with free access to waterparks, swimming baths and amusement parks.

Galleries and craftsmen
Artists have a preference for settling down in the most beautiful landscapes. Therefore, you will see that the holiday destinations have plenty of galleries, craft shops and exhibition places with ceramics, jewelry art and paintings. In many places, the artist personally shows and tells, and usually, there is free access to the small galleries and craft places.

The beach
Denmark has 7,300 km of coast line and most areas are public and free. A trip to the beach is always a great idea, regardless if it is summer or winter. Make a lunch basket and find a nice hollow in the dunes where you can enjoy the sun. In case of colder weather, you can take a walk along the water’s edge and collect seashells, seaweed and pebbles that someone with a bit of ingenuity can turn into homemade postcards or mobiles.

The forest
The forest provides peace and quiet among the large, old trunks, but the forest is actually full of life. There are birds in the tree tops, and you can determine the species on the basis of their whistle – if you have a bit of practise. If you move around carefully, you can spot red deer in some of the forests, but the most common animals in the forest are fallow deer, squirrels and foxes.

Behaviour in the forest
You can gather many interesting things in the forest, either for eating or for use in decorations, but there are rules for what you can gather where. In public forests, you can gather all over the forest, while you may only gather what you can reach from road or path in private forests.

Gathering for private use
You may only gather berries, mushrooms, nuts, moss, cones etc. to a limited extent for private use, which means that you may not gather more than you can carry in a regular shopping bag. Furthermore, you may also gather branches and twigs that are on the ground for private use, but you may not cut branches off trees.
